You can choose to register online, which will allow you to use your credit card (preferred method), EMT or you can pay in person at the league office with cash, cheque, debit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When does registration begin?<\/strong><br \/>\nOnline registration\u00a0begins <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1954786050\"><span class=\"aQJ\">May 1st, 2025<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I have to register online?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is highly recommended that you register online, but in person at the league office is an alternative option.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if I get waitlisted?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou get added to the waitlist by divisions. Players are placed on a team who loses a player from its original roster, regardless of the team location. If you refuse to join that team you will be dropped to the bottom of the waitlist for that division. NO EXCEPTIONS! The waitlist is dropped after game 3 of the season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can I pay for registration fees?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can pay online through credit card.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How much does it cost to register a player?<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the 2025 season it will be $260 to register a player.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When is the registration cut off date?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou CANNOT register after July 1st and we might close the online system before this date if the league fills up. We will begin placing players on teams at this time, and there will be NO exceptions to the rule. If you register before the deadline and are waitlisted, your registration is still valid until you get added to a team or the waitlist is dropped after game 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I register more than one player at a time?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can register as many players as you&#8217;d like online or in person\u00a0as long as a payment is made\u00a0at the time of registration.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-1ylke-c4dae5254b6b1c382ca77ed090f4d281'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-2-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-2' aria-controls='tab-id-2-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >Teams<\/div><div id='tab-id-2-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-2-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>How many players can play on a team?<\/strong><br \/>\nA normal flag\u00a0football team usually has 14 players, however, depending on the total number of players registered in a division, some teams may have 16 max.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is there a maximum number of teams in each age division?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes and No, there is never a limit of how many teams will be in a division, if there is a multitude of teams we will create divisions to make scheduling more manageable. Once the registration limit has been reached, no more teams will be added to a division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can my child play up an age group or down an age group?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe league only allows you to play up an age group (extenuating circumstance)\u00a0and the age group in which you fall is based on the YEAR you were born, not school year. The first games will always start at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1954786053\"><span class=\"aQJ\">8:30am<\/span><\/span> with the second game following at the same location until all groups have played. We start with the 6\/7 division, 8\/9 division, 10\/11 division, 12\/13 division, 14\/15 division, and 16\/17 division (if applicable).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where will the games be played?<\/strong><br \/>\nAll flag football games will be played at the Regina Rugby Fields.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-46fu-044bba530705fbb68df3c34a8f22b7ad'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-4-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-4' aria-controls='tab-id-4-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >Other<\/div><div id='tab-id-4-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-4-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>How many times will my child practice a week?<br \/>\n<\/strong> Once or twice. Please respect the coaches wishes in regards to practice, but if you have any concerns express them to your coach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where will we practice?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe league\u00a0does not book fields for practices. It is the responsibility of the coach to schedule a practice in the area where the team is based out of.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will everyone I play with be from the same part of the city?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe do try our best to put teams together that are from the same area, however, sometimes it&#8217;s not possible as it is dependent on registration numbers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I need to be certified to coach?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, any parent is able to be a coach, as we are a volunteer league and coaches are always needed!!\u00a0\u00a0<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I put in a request to play with certain players?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo. We have stopped doing that as of the 2017 season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do I need for my child to play flag\u00a0football?<\/strong><br \/>\nYour child will be provided league issued shorts. All you need are cleats or runners for footwear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If my child doesn&#8217;t like flag\u00a0football, can I get a refund?<\/strong><br \/>\nPrior to the start of the season fees will be returned less a $100 withdrawal fee. After game 1 fees will be returned less a $130 withdrawal fee. There will be no refunds issued after the leagues 2nd game.
