You can choose to register online or you register in person at the Football Saskatchewan office, which is still done online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When does registration begin?<\/strong><br \/>\nOnline registration begins January 5th, 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I have to register online?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, you can only register online.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if I get waitlisted?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou get added to the waitlist by divisions. Players are placed on a team who loses a player from its original roster, regardless of the team location. If you refuse to join that team you will be dropped to the bottom of the waitlist for that division. NO EXCEPTIONS! The waitlist is dropped after week 3 of the season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can I pay for registration fees?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can pay online through credit card. In person through cash, credit card, debit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How much does it cost to register a player?<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the 2026 season it will be $250 to register a player.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to I get a receipt\/reissue a receipt?<\/strong><br \/>\nYour receipt will be immediately sent to you following your registration. <strong>Keep your receipts for your records<\/strong>. Any receipt reprint\/reissue at a later date will be subject to a $10 replacement fee (no exceptions).<\/p>\n<p><strong>When is the registration cut off date?<\/strong><br \/>\nRegistration deadline is January 18th, 2026. Any registrations after this is subject to an additional $25 late fee. We might close the online system before the deadline date if the league fills up. We will begin placing players on teams at this time, and there will be NO exceptions to the rule. If you register before the deadline and are waitlisted, your registration is still valid until you get added to a team or the waitlist is dropped after week 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I register more than one player at a time?<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can register as many players as you&#8217;d like online or in person.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can my child play up an age group or down an age group?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe league DOES NOT only allows kids to play up an age group and the age group in which you fall is based on the YEAR you were born, not school year. You are NOT allowed to play down an age group (unless extenuating circumstance).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I put in a request to play with certain players?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo. Due to problems from the 2017 season we have removed this option going forward. <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Do NOT<\/strong> <\/span>ask via email or phone as no requests will be granted REGARDLESS OF ANY SITUATION.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-1zjfu-87f604c1a917f6c4fbfa538f3c3761a2'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-2-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-2' aria-controls='tab-id-2-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >Teams<\/div><div id='tab-id-2-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-2-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>How many players can play on a team?<\/strong><br \/>\nA normal flag football team usually has 10-12 players, however, depending on the total number of players registered in a division, some teams may have less than 10.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is there a maximum number of teams in each age division?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes and No, there is never a limit of how many teams will be in a division, if there is a multitude of teams we will create divisions to make scheduling more manageable. Once the registration limit has been reached, no more teams will be added to a division.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-21p7u-e39b02ad0d1657754bd018a8394f2ab0'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-3-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-3' aria-controls='tab-id-3-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >Games<\/div><div id='tab-id-3-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-3-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>How many games a week will my child be playing?<\/strong><br \/>\nEvery team will play one game a week. Older kids (14\/15 &amp; 16\/17 division) play on Friday nights. Younger kids (4\/5 division to 12\/13 division) play on Saturday&#8217;s and the odd Sunday, the first games will always start at 8:30am with the second game following at the same location until all groups have played. We start with the 4\/5yr old division, then 6\/7 division, then 8\/9 division, then 10\/11 division, 12\/13 division. On Friday&#8217;s the first games will always start at 5:30pm with the second game following at the same location until all groups have finished. We start with the 14\/15 division, and end the evening with the 16\/17 division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>**THERE IS A POSSIBILITY GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON SUNDAYS FROM TIME-TO-TIME DUE TO FIELD AVAILABILITY &amp; WEATHER RESCHEDULED GAMES**<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where will the games be played?<\/strong><br \/>\nAll flag football games will be played at the University of Regina Soccer &amp; Fieldturf Fields and the Regina Rugby Club Fields.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/section>\n<section class='av_tab_section av_tab_section av-1qiaa-ea8e297a5783b0372d792e67506e0edf'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div id='tab-id-4-tab' class='tab' role='tab' aria-selected=\"false\" tabindex=\"0\" data-fake-id='#tab-id-4' aria-controls='tab-id-4-content'  itemprop=\"headline\" >Other<\/div><div id='tab-id-4-content' class='tab_content' role='tabpanel' aria-labelledby='tab-id-4-tab' aria-hidden=\"true\"><div class='tab_inner_content invers-color'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><strong>How many times will my child practice a week?<\/strong><br \/>\nOnce or twice. Please respect the coaches wishes in regards to practice, but if you have any concerns express them to your coach.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where will we practice?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe league does not book fields for practices. It is the responsibility of the coach to schedule practice in the area where the team is based out of.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Will everyone I play with be from the same part of the city?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe do try our best to put teams together that are from the same area, however, sometimes it&#8217;s not possible as it is dependent on registration numbers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do I need to be certified to coach?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo. You must be certified in Respect in Sport, which is a 2 hour online course <a href=\"https:\/\/sasksrc.respectgroupinc.com\/secure\">https:\/\/sasksrc.respectgroupinc.com\/secure<\/a>. If you have already completed this course with another sport you must log in and add Football as a sport to your file.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can we put in a request for a certain NFL team name and logo for our jerseys?<\/strong><br \/>\nJersey colors, teams and logos are not decided by our league. Teams are automatically assigned their team name by the NFL Flag Program inventory that is provided to us.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do I need for my child to play flag?<\/strong><br \/>\nYour child will be issued a mouthguard, flags, jersey, and shorts, which are theirs to keep at the end of the season. They can wear cleats (no metal spikes or studs cleats) or runners for footwear. NO Flipflops, Slides, Sanuks or Crocs are allowed to be played in. All these aforementioned equipment is provided to you in your registration fee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What if I selected the wrong clothing size for my child, can I get it changed?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Yes, <strong>IF<\/strong> we have a replacement available in our very limited inventory. If we have to order one there is a charge of $60.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If my child doesn&#8217;t like flag\/I want to withdraw, can I get a refund?<\/strong><br \/>\nFrom the start of registration to the start of the season fees will be returned less a $150 withdrawal fee. After game 1 fees will be returned less a $175 withdrawal fee. There will be no refunds issued after the first game.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If my 14\/15 or 16\/17 Competitive Division team wins provincials, where will they travel for Nationals?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe National Club Flag Championship&#8217;s location changes every year and are held in either July or August.\u00a0 For 2026 the U16 &amp; U18 National Club Championships will be held in Ottawa, ON, July 31 to August 3rd. Teams can have a max of 12 players and 2 coaches. Anything that was ordered for the league will be delivered to all participants. We will not keep any goods paid for with registration funds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I transfer fees to another season is the league gets cancelled?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo, all eligible funds are returned to parents.
