Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we take time to listen, learn, reflect, and remember. We honour the children who never made it home, the Survivors of residential schools, their families, and the generations who continue to carry the impact of that history.

Sport has an incredible ability to bring people together, but today is about more than the game. It’s about recognizing the truth of our shared history and understanding that reconciliation takes more than words. It takes listening, learning, respect, and action.

To our Indigenous players, coaches, officials, families, friends, and communities, we see you, we value you, and we’re proud to have you as part of our football family.

As another season wraps up shortly we’ve gotta give a HUGE shoutout to the people who make this whole thing possible… our coaches 🏈❤️ THANK YOU!! Thank you for giving up your evenings and weekends, running practices after long days at work, answering messages, drawing up plays, hauling gear around, and somehow keeping a bunch of fired up girls and boys focused. 😂

Coaching isn’t always easy. There are tough games, tough calls, crazy weather, schedule changes, and probably a few moments where you wondered what the heck you signed up for. 😂 But then you see the smiles, the friendships, the confidence growing, and that kid scoring their first touchdown like they just won the Grey Cup or Super Bowl! Wins and losses fade, but kids remember the coach who believed in them, made the game fun, and made them feel like they belonged.

We’ve got one helluva football community, and we appreciate the heck outta every single one of you. We aren’t who we are without you!
